Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Artesia

I had seen a lot of advertisements and always wanted to try this restaurant. I told my husband that it would make me happy to try it. We dined here tonight and drove 30 minutes back home with our food still warm. I really enjoyed it, the dinner was good. We ordered the popcorn shrimp combo and platter with fries, and I particularly liked the rice and cole slaw with the kebabs. The lemonade was also quite tasty! Despite the negative reviews, I found that they did not disappoint.

I understand that this restaurant is new and may have some kinks to work out, but that doesn't excuse them from providing the correct food orders. The Surf-n-Turf dish should come with shrimp and steak, right? I only received 3 shrimp and they were overcooked. The sides were also lacking, as I only received a small portion of fries instead of the large size I ordered. Additionally, the Dr. Pepper I ordered was flat. I will give them another chance in a few months after they have had time to improve, but for now, it's not worth the drive or the gas.

This restaurant has terrible service! I asked for an update on my order at the window and was told to go back through the drive-thru, even though there was no car behind me because they supposedly have a timer. The cashier said her manager came up with this brilliant idea. So, I drove out of line to go back through the drive-thru, only to wait 5 minutes for my order. When I asked the cashier what the point of the timer was if I still had to wait 5 minutes to eat, she didn't have a good answer. When I received my food, it was overcooked. I will never visit this place again! It's a shame because it's now off my list of options. Instead, I'll be heading to the nearby Buena Parking Garage for better food and service.

Worse service and unprofessional staff, always check their order, most of the time they do not get right and they do not offer to make it right, this was my experience with this popeyes. poor service

The popcorn shrimp was hard and over cooked. And the fried chicken breast under the crust skin was slimey and barely any meat and its like $5 for one breast. I would totally pay that for a great fried chicken breast, this was not great. And my sauces were all sticky and my biscuit was hard as a rock. And they left out my butter and honey after asking for it like 3x's. Not impressed at all.
