The lunch specials are extremely well-priced and the sushi is always really, really fresh. Their dragon rolls are to die for, and their tempura is always perfectly done. The service is usually amazingly fast, and while the decor may be a bit kitschy/tacky, the vibe is always calm and intimate (especially in the booths or at the back hibatchi tables) Price per person: $1–10

I'm not particularly a sushi fan, but my husband is a huge admirer, and Yoshi is always his first choice. What I really appreciate about Yoshi is that their menu features a wide variety of dishes beyond sushi. I especially enjoy their cucumber salad with crab meat, and the Pad Thai was also impressive. With its convenient location and available parking, our overall experience at Yoshi was wonderful. We dined in and had excellent service.

I dined here once and while the food was good, the service was incredibly SLOW! I placed an online order and was given a 90-minute wait time, with the estimated pickup set for 7:39. By 7:41, I received a text saying my food was ready. I walked in at 7:42, only to be told it would be just a few more minutes. Now it's 8:10, and I’m still waiting! I really don’t understand why I would come back here after this experience. It’s quite frustrating, and it seems to be a common issue in Bangor!

We ordered two Pad Thai entrees for pick up, one of which requested extra spice. The hostess assured us that it would be a simple order and would be ready soon. However, that was not the case. After nearly an hour and two additional trips inside to check on our order, we finally received our meals and headed home. Upon opening the containers, we found the food tightly packed in too-small containers, resulting in a clump of tasteless, overcooked noodles with hardly any vegetables, no peanuts, and none of the extra spice we requested. In short, it was dreadful! Priced at nearly $20 per serving, it felt like a complete waste of both money and time. This experience has definitely impacted our intention to return in the future.
