Bidra med feedbackHave been going here for years. It's daunting at first, but if you know what you want you can find high quality ingredients that many other stores don't offer.
I should have read the reviews before going there. I just got back from the store and I must ask everyone to avoid this store atleast during the pandemic. Store is filthy and cluttered with narrow aisles (no social distancing). Most of items dont have price tags and as others wrote and their prices are probably more expensive than whole foods. Their receipts don't have the item name so basically they can charge you more and you won't even know. I don't plan to revisit this store again. FYI- they dont accept credit cards.
I would avoid this grocery store during the pandemic. The produce are wilted and moldy. The meats are mostly pre frozen. No seafood is available. They purposefully not mark the prices on majority of their items and have a check out that does not print receipts. People who frequent here know wassup and lined up at the other register that are giving out receipts. I got too impatient and used the line that wasn't giving out a receipt. You will be surprised by the price that comes out and will not have the will to get them to reenter the prices. I used to frequent this market a few years back, but with the poor quality of fresh items and the fact that my bill came out to be more than what I would have sent at wholefoods, this will be my last. Also the sandwich shop across the street has 60% of what I bought so I'd go there in the future.
This place is great for asian staples. I've been going to another store in concord to get my spicy samyang noodles but thankfully I found them here! And tons more variety too. It's way closer to me and they have a parking lot which makes it easy.
Hi guys. Just wanted to share my experience at this place. I have been living in the area for over 20 years and I have shopped here for about that long. I have never had a pleasant encounter except for when the owner happily says goodbye to you.. I am not the type of person to write reviews because I work in the service industry and I understand how hard it is to please people and how small errors can always slip by. I understand. But today I felt the need to download the app and give you all a bit of what just happened. Yesterday I bought 2 bags of bread with 4 pieces of bread each.. I normally buy that bread 2-3 times a week. I got home and made a sandwich out of one of the breads and right before I took a bite I realized it was moldy. I ended up tossing it away. I was going to toss the other breads away but I thought that maybe I can just exchange it for a fresh bag. I wasn 't upset at all because I know things happen. But when I asked the lady if I could exchange it she said that I made the mold happen!!! What?!?! She asked me for a receipt and I told her I normally don 't save 2$ receipts. She kept arguing and asked me to leave the store. Since I 've been shopping at this place for a while I know who the owner is so I decided to ask him if I could exchange it. He said yes go ahead and grab a bag. Meanwhile the lady I first talked to kept arguing in her language. (I 'm assuming she was talking to the owner) I grabbed the bag and the lady gets on the mic and shouts something in a different language and quickly the owner calls me out. He asked me to go towards him and asked to remove one of the breads because I had eaten one already WHAT?!?!?! at this point I realized it was pointless to keep arguing over 2$ worth of bread. So I politely left it at the register and told the owner I would never ever shop there again. It 's not about the 2$... It 's more of knowing that I 've shopped there for over 20 years and then accusing me of purposely taking the bread back after it molded..... Unreal. So now I 'll go ahead and walk an extra few blocks for guaranteed fresh bread at trader Joe 's.
