Bidra med feedbackWe have been visiting regularly in the past 2 months, especially happy hour. I hate to post a spot I want for myself, but they have been really great. Tempura roll, oysters and lion king roll are a winning combo…Food: 4/5
It was our first time here and we will definitely come back again.Seems that they specialize in Japanese aged fish 熟成, highly recommend if you are not a big fan of completely raw fish ? I also like their interior and it is more spacious as compared a few other Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in Fremont, and it is a very unique find in San Leandro. We came before 5:30pm. We didn’t have a reservation and were seated immediately. When we left there was a line. ? we came with our child and notice a lot of families too.
We came here for dinner before my flight. Ordered salmon carpaccio, tempura udon, chicken teriyaki, and a few rolls. Our food took a long time to arrive. So don't expect your food to come out quick. Be sure to check your bill before paying also. I got charge for alcohol that we didn't order. And for that, 4 stars because everything were fresh and delicious.
Loved everything about this place! i was craving sashimi and decided to try a new place, and i'm glad i decided to check this place out! we got the sashimi combo, sunset roll, shrimp and veggie tempura and the unagi roll (did not get a picture of that one : . everything was great! sashimi was so fresh and melts in your mouth. great portions as well.really nice interior as well! perfect place to go with friends or on a date. service was 10 10 as well. i'm definitely planning on coming back in the future to try other dishes!
Came here as a party of 3 on a Friday night so we were expecting to wait for a while, and we did wait for around 30 minutes but that's not why I'm giving Kaisen Don 3 stars. We were seated at one of the tatami area. Everything was clean, the decorations were nice and service was good. They were understaffed but everyone who took care of us was friendly and professional. The 3 stars have nothing to do with the service it was the food. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't worth the wait time. Chicken Karaage was dry not tender nor juicy like karaages should be. Shoyu ramen tasted decent, but $15.99 for noodles, 1 piece of charsiu 1 egg? Overpiced. Rainbow Don was good had a good selection of fish and it was fresh. Salmon Ikura Don it was good and fresh, however, reading the menu again looking at my picture whilst writing this review, I realized that the sushi omelette/tamago was missing from my don. Too late for me now, but if you get a salmon ikura don double check that you get your tamago.Lastly, there was one thing that I found shady: Hot tea was $3 a cup (was not on the menu didn't know the price until I saw the bill), and when it first came, it was genmaicha. However, when it came time for a refill, it was barley tea. Was the $3 not for the tea bag or the teaspoon of loose tea leaves? Why am I getting a refill of a much cheaper tea? Do you think that people won't be able to tell? 2/3 of us are Asian and we know our teas unacceptable. Will not return, do not recommend.
