Bidra med feedbackAs I said in another review, the wine and spirits store is attached directly to a grocery store. So it can be convenient to your shopping needs. This place doesn't look much different than others like it. Maybe the only difference was that it is a tad smaller. I came in to kind of just browse around a bit for a wine to drink that night. So I kind of just wandered around the store for a bit. I then got the hankering for a wine that I had once had. It was a moscato and I went on a search for it. I suppose the employees noticed me going from section to section until one of them came over to ask if I needed help. I did. I told the employee exactly what I was looking for and she went to where she thought it was as well. No luck for her either. She then did a search in the computer to see if any nearby stores would happen to have what I was looking for. I was in luck, there were a few other nearby places in the direction I was going. For future reference, if you can't find what you want at the store you are currently in, ask if they can do a search of nearby stores, you may be in luck. This store also went a little further. Unfortunately for me, the wine I was looking for was discontinued, which meant that I would only be able to find it for a short time and be out of luck after that. The manager of the store took me on kind of an educational tour of wines that would be similar to what I was looking for. I appreciated that, plus I have a little more knowledge of wine now.
I believe his name was Rand, and he went above and beyond when I asked about local bourbons, flavors, and more. If he doesn't manage the store, he should definitely be part of the business soon. He really knows his whiskey and bourbon! Cheers!
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant due to a certain woman at the counter. I had been out hunting all day and didn't have my ID with me, which seemed to upset her. Despite explaining the situation, she insisted on giving me a hard time for not having it while I was sitting in a tree all day. Furthermore, my friend, who is 25, tried to make a purchase, but she refused to serve him as well. We ended up leaving and asked my father to pick up the order for us. When he arrived, she harassed him, claiming she had the right to card anyone under 30, even though he is 51 with no hair and a gray beard—definitely not someone you'd mistake for under 30. She also seemed concerned that I was lying about the hunting. Overall, I will never return to this place. It's just not worth it when there are better options around with friendlier staff.
Since Pennsylvania has state-owned stores, they all tend to be quite uniform. You can call a location ahead of time to pay for your order, and they offer curbside service due to the ongoing COVID situation. If you're looking for something rare, you can call, and they'll check their inventory. If no local stores have it, you can order it, and it will be delivered for free to your nearest store. Everyone I've encountered has been exceptionally friendly. The locations I've visited include Connellsville, Mt. Pleasant, Belle Vernon, Youngwood, and Uniontown. I hope this helps!
