Our second visit this holiday, although we did also visit last year. Consistent good quality food, with friendly staff. Lovely setting too

Popped in for lunch, massive doorstep sandwiches, lovely pot of tea too. Had a cake as a take out and that too was lovely (sorry no photo of that!

Superb bacon and tomato omelette and cranberry and brie toastie in garden. Would have succumbed to a cake but some smokers arrived and put us off. Maybe next time. Great food and staff, thanks chef x

We ordered 2 fish cake meals. It then turned out that they could only fulfill one and we would have to wait for more fishcakes. After 5 minutes of the first one going cold i asked how long the second läs mer...

Chose a cheese scone and wensleydale cheese and chutney and although tasty, rather expensive at £6.50. Didn't expect the cheese melted either.

Visited here whilst on holiday in the area. Oh my goodness! The steak and ale pie was the best I can remember for a long time. Fresh veg. And the chips! So good. Let's have a light dessert I said. I'lläs mer...

Wish I had read reviews before visiting. Waited ages to be served. Meanwhile regulars came in and were served before me. I was told the prices were higher than those displayed to eat/ drunk in. Surelyläs mer...
