Mabare, Restaurante Bar - 4ta. Avenida

The restaurant is located on the water. A very nice outdoor deck area. The food was fair. The bar well stocked. The prices were reasonable.

I highly recommend the seafood risotto, fresh and tasty!! The seafood-filled calamari was a little simple, but ok. Great view, great attention!

Let me be honest. I did not fall in love with Cartagena. The old town was quite boring since I have being to better places with that style. But while visiting Castillo de San Filipe de Barajas I spotted from its top a marina and...it resembled Ilhabela (Brazil). So I decided to push my havaianas sandal to the extreme and walk there. As the old town got considerably far I discovered Cartagena; modern quiet and sophisticated. I was thirsty and thanks goodness the Mabare was just besides me. lol It is a sophisticated marina restaurant with very very polite employees. And the price just as fair as it could be. Far different from the old town for silly tourists. The tuna tartar was marvellous my prawn risotto marvellous the juices (pineapple, mint and ginger) marvellous! My passion fruit mousse was not good though but my friend's tiramisu was gorgeous! Loved the service the taste and the marine atmosphere!

The food, atmosphere, and cocktails here were awesome. The restaurant is really well set up, with a chique décor. The seafood was all served super fresh I had a marinara calamari pasta that was awesome. The risotto that came with the other seafood dish...was a little bland, but the freshness and flavor in the seafood itself more than made up with it. I had the **** Collins cocktail here, which was awesome. The perfect balance of gin and ginger, and using the one rock ice cube was a great presentation. I had to get a second one. I would say the server we had was a little distant. For the price point of this restaurant in Colombia, he should have been a little more open and hospitable, and smiled a bit, but he was prompt and attentive with everything. In USD, this place is awesome. Super affordable awesome seafood with great drinks. And on a cool night, they have beautiful seating right on the harbor. Definitely recommend.

Es un buen sitio para almorzar o cenar, pero también tiene un muelle increible para tomarse unas cervezas en la tarde.Ofrece buenas entradas y hay platos en la carta para todos los gustos.
