The quality of food is fantastic. I had the hunch with chorizo on omg. I also recently had the tacos (I don't remember the names) that are displayed on the menu front. they have a reddish colored color because the tortillas are immersed in suppe. I had the steak version, and the taste was amazing. the family that works there is wonderfully nice.
My daughter and I visited for the first time and the food was delicious, the Maya fries are amazing and the waiter was awesome! We will definitely be going back!
Was not impressed. The service was great and that is why 3 stars. We ordered the beef cheese dip which to me was nothing but grease. I could not eat it. I ordered the California burrito with no beans. Its was so dry! The cheese on the inside was not even a bit melted. Had to order plain queso to put on it so it would be somewhat easier to eat. My companion ordered the nachos and she said they where good but she didn't eat them all and did not want to take home in box.The server was very attentive and gave great service it was the food that was lacking.
This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in the microplex. While the decor was better, the first thing I noticed was that the menu was MUCH smaller Than it used to be. It lacked many of the authentic Mexican dishes I used to love. No pork and no seafood now—only beef and chicken and neither of those are a favorite. Seeking an authentic dish (I’m not driving here from Pinehurst for Tex mex) there were only three dishes recommended. I ordered the chicken one to go. They gave me a choice of flour or corn tortillas—I chose flour. When I got it home, the first think I noticed was there were no tortillas at all. Second, when I opened up the styrofoam container, I thought—where’s the food? This place used to give good portions where I would always have a little left over for lunch the next day. No more. The chicken dish was actually pretty good but the beans and rice were not good at all. Across the board, the portions were so small it left me still hungry having finished it all. When was the last time that ever happened at a Mexican restaurant. Maybe never.I used to love this place so much we would bring friends there to eat with us. Now with new owners it has really gone bad. Sorry, but unless something really changes we won’t be back which makes me sad because now there isn’t a really good authentic Mexican restaurant in the microplex any longer. At least not one that I have found.
