Milano's Italian Cuisine - Abingdon

Every time we eat here, we had a fabulous experience. today was not like any other time. we sat at the stand 16 and then waited at least 15 minutes before I made another server aware that no one would have been on our table. in the meantime, two more couples were sitting and got their drinks and an salad. our server then came to our table and took our drink order and appetizer order and asked if we knew what we wanted for our main meal. no apologies for our waiting or explanation. about 15 minutes later, we have our garlic knots. at this time the couple had their main course next to us and the couple behind them was waiting for their food. about 45 minutes after putting the server I let the server know that we have to take everything to go as it is the 16th birthday of my sohne, and we had people waiting for us to come home to his birthday party. I added a calzone and another order of the garlic nodes to the melodies of $76 and change, and she came only on the table to let us know that the owners were out, they were out of teig and alfredo and that nobody wants to work. then my son continues to tell me that the younger couple who had to wait a bit for their food had either benefited or received free food. I love eating at milano, I always choose it for my birthday meal, but it can take a while until we come back. very disappointing.

I have philly steak. It was okay. all the others in the group got calzone and lasagne. the calzones that we are reported as ingenious and were huge (also the small) and lasagne was reported as well. the waitress was wonderful and kept our drinks full and made sure we took care of it. we will try the calzones for a day for sure.

Our waitress, Bella, was fantastic. Very thoughtful and funny. She helped with our meal selection and checked on us many times during our meal. The meal was great too, but Bella made our evening! Thanks Bella!

Fries were full of grease and limp and I had to wipe grease off the outside of my sand with wrapper before getting the sandwich out. The sandwich and lemon cheese cake was awesome though.

Excellent appetizers.We ordered garlic knots, calamari mushrooms. Mmm!They all were amazing.Main course was a little slow coming out, but when it did, it was great also.Small pizza, grilled chicken salad steak calzone.We would definitely return, the service was excellent.
