There is not alot of little tea/coffee shops in Acton, when I discovered Sweet Mollys I was excited, this is one of the best lil specialty shops in town, they have great British fare from Pies to Specialty teas to choose from. (not to mention they won the readers choice award for 2016) the staff was pleasant with me and makes me want to keep going back for my pick me up for the day. I read the other negative review and it doesn't make any sense to me because the staff bends over backwards to serve you. Small family owned business. Always attentive to my requests,. they even put up with my silly sandwich requests :)

Great local shop if you are into British stuff. Pies, chocolates, pastries. you name it Molly has got it for you.

We drove to Acton in hopes of getting a nice meal and cream tea at this Acton Tea Room. We walked in at 1.00pm on a Saturday afternoon, the place was totally empty, we sat down and the waitress brought us the menus. After a few minutes, I realized the only hot food for a vegetarian was the quiche, no problem I'd have that, my husband chose the pasty and soup. The waitress returned to take our order, I ordered the quiche.....sorry there is none, she replied, I can do you a cucumber sandwich. So can I , I thought, I didn't drive 45 mins for a sandwich, so I asked for the raisin sconescream and jam....we don't have any of those either soI just ended up having a cup of tea for my lunch, verydisappointing ! My husband had a pasty plonked on a plate, no garnish, just warmed and his soup, nice butnothing outstanding. The bill came to a tad over $14,he went to the cash to pay and handed her a $20 note,she asked him if he wanted change...she wanted a $6tip for serving a pasty, soup and two teas...I think not !The room itself is very plain, plastic tablecloths, mismatched furniture and a few Brit. knick knacks. We won't be returningto the tea room but I may pop into the ajoining sweet shop and bakery sometime when I'm in the area but definitely won't make a special trip out there !
