Town Friar - Acton

My hubby loves their halibut and I was very happy to hear that they made poutine! And they do that and their other dishes soooo well! Never disappointed. Been eating there over 17 yrs. So far.....

The staff here is so friendly! The food is pretty decent always do the take out and it is a good value for the money

Happened to be passing through Acton and decided to have lunch. Fancied fish and chips, and there was The Town Friar. Went in to give it a try. Great decision. While the place doesn't look much, it was very clean and the fish and chips were terrific. We went on a Saturday and they had a special on. Two Halbut dinners for about $21. Large portion of fish and lots of fries, and good coleslaw. All cooked fresh and served hot by a pleasant lady. Last time I had Halbut this good I was in England.Well worth the drive to Acton. I will be back for the fish and chips at The Towne Friar.

Excellent old style fish and chips made fresh and wrapped in their box. Doesn't look like much but have been here numerous times. Portions are great, staff are friendly.
