Al's is fantastic! The staff welcomed us right away! Our waitress was excellent, and the food not only looks amazing but tastes incredible too! The dishes are so tender and delicious—like a melt-in-your-mouth experience! It's an absolute foodgasm!

We recently visited Big Al's for the first time during a three-day getaway with friends. Having searched online for dining options, we came across Big Al's and were drawn in by the positive reviews. We found the servers to be exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Our group of five enjoyed a variety of dishes, all of which were of good quality and very satisfying. We even had the pleasure of meeting Al himself, who was warm and welcoming. Although we live about an hour and twenty minutes away, we’re determined to return occasionally, as the food was truly exceptional. I highly recommend this place and encourage everyone to support their local mom-and-pop restaurants!

"Great BBQ for a small town! The barbecue on the pound was delicious. I enjoyed it with the original sauce and potatoes—absolutely mouthwatering! Highly recommended! However, I was particularly disappointed with the Big AL Burger, which cost $20. It tasted like bland bologna topped with pulled pork that had been sitting in a greasy kitchen for a week. People might still eat it, but only because there’s no mold on it."

What a find! Amazingly pulled pork sandwich and baked beans! Incredibly smoked taste! Great staff, friendly and helpful!

Stopped here after our appointment at the Treasurer 's office getting our license plates and boy am I glad we did. The owner was there and introduced himself then shared some of his business stories. Based on Al 's suggestion, we ordered the housemade onion rings followed by the Combo: beef brisket sammy, pulled pork sammy, 3 fantastic smoked chicken wings, 1/4 track of ribs and 3 sides that his customers love: jalapeno creamed corn, burnt end baked beans and deviled egg potato salad (mustard/mayo) with some cole slaw to top the pulled pork sammy. Everything was delicious. The onion rings might have been the least-greasy, crispy and most flavorful I 've ever had, the creamed corn was great and the baked beans were thick, smoky and delicious. The smoked chicken wings were full wings, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and were smoked to perfection. I ordinarily don 't give 5* ratings to restaurants without cloth napkins and real silverware, but was very tempted to do so with this place. I really liked the quality of the food, the atmosphere, the service and the interaction with the owner.
