Bidra med feedbackA wonderful night spot - very civilised and sophisticated night spot - cocktails and light meals.
My partner and I came here after a lovey dinner at Namaste on George St.
This is a joint review from two yelpers who stumbled across this cute little cocktail/tapas bar one Thursday night.
They had a huge ambitious whisky list. Too bad they only stocked 3 bottles in stock. None of which i wanted. Tried to up sell me a $30 dollar glass. Didn't know how to make an old fashioned. $27 platter had 3 items missing. Received just a few fennel leaves with not enough cheese sauce and dry bread with nothing to put on the bread.
The Flying Trunk has been there for over 3 years and where have I been in that time.Just loved everything about it - lovely host with lots of knowledge and so was the bar tender. The food we had was also outstanding; Ruben Sandwich was one of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Brussels Sprouts, Pumpkin & Feta Tart was also very good cooked to perfection. This place is not very large which makes it even better - not sure if you can book a table. We sat in a comfortable lounge by the window - would like to see some kind of window blind on the large skinny window as cars parking outside shine their head lights straight in. See you soon :)
