Bidra med feedbackAlways very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. attentive chef who knows what we like. also the kitchen works great at wish, even at (extra) has enough extra seats to sit. separable room for various occasions.
We've been to restaurant Büchel 3 or 4 times now and every time the staff have been consistently welcoming and friendly. The food is very traditional Swiss / Italian combinations. I would guess their speciality is the various cordon bleu, which are large, rich, and filled with interesting stuffings. They are flexible, so you can opt into a few vegetables instead of the normal pommes. But I find their pizzas also very, very good - their Buttafuoco one of my favorite pizzas on the entire planet! We've also tried the pastas which are also generous and rich.Overall if there's a complaint, the food is generally very rich and some lighter options might be good.The head waiter in particular always has a genial smile and serves complimentary aperitifs *and* complimentary digestif. Good luck finding that in any other restaurant in Zurich! The prices are low to moderate by Swiss standards.Any combination of good value, service and food is really hard to find in Zurich, so for all three, I have to give Restaurant Büchel a big thumbs up and it's perhaps worth coming to the end of the 153 bus line just to try it out.
We (4 pers.) at 20:30 have the local habits and we have rejoined a fine cordon bleu, an ordered cannelloni, the other all cordon bleu however with various supplements ( risotto, pommes and vegetables) the eating was very tasty! there was even a limoncello on the house after eating!
We (2 pers.) met around approx. 19:15 In the restaurant, after a more collegial greeting from the unknown waiter, we were allowed to choose a table, because there were only 2 tables occupied. the ordered bruschetta was very fine and was served quickly and beautifully on a wooden stem board. also the cordonbleu was perfect and very tasty. the great selection of different cordonbleu’s convinced us and also the prices are absolutely ok. only the more cucumbery waiters are in need of reconciliation in the way around with the guests. they are not, however, unfriendly or even cheeky or arrogant. the restaurant facility is very classic and somewhat unemotional in white (table towels, serviettes, curtains, ..., much in white). Conclusion: here you get good food in a medium format to praise in the medium field. I can recommend this restaurant, but for a festive occasion the service would have to be credited well beforehand to reach a suitable bypass with the loaded guests.
Unfortunately, the restaurant, at least in the evening only is very sparsely frequented. despite extremely cheap pizza - and pasta - offered. the competition is simply too large in this segment. service friendly and accommodating.
