Chalet Bergblick Aeschi

We were looking for accommodation in the area of Interlaken and by chance came across Bergenblick Hotel. What a great and pleasant surprise! If you are looking for a true swiss mountain experience where traditions and local products play a big part, this is what you need! The hotel is located in Aeschi, a small village located 15 mins from Spiez and 20 mins from Interlaken. If you are by car, it is very easy and quick to reach the entire area. In 3 days we explored both lake of Thun and Brienz. So convenient! It is located in a calm area, surrounded by mountains and green fields where cows bells can be heard in the background. It is a typical wooden chalet style hotel, traditional not modern but not aged neither with all basic comforts: comfortable beds split beds close to each others with douvets, very typical of the area , balcony, internet, very well functioning shower. The breakfast is just amazing. Only genuine products are offered: from the fresh-out-of-bakery breads, to the great varieties of homemade jams, to the amazing yougurts never tasted such exquisite yogurt in my life , to the fresh fruit salads. Canned or pre-sealed products don’t exist at Bergenblick hotel! An assortment of local cheese and salami is also available and we were offered the possibility of fresh eggs as well. What a nice treat! A coffee machine is offering pretty decent coffee I am Italian with possibility to have proper capuccino, or a great tea selection with fresh ginger a set of specific tools to “peel off” ginger was available… such tiny great detail! . All of this in a room with big windows overlooking the mountains… such a breathtaking view and great way to start a day! It was a pity we went there on Monday and Tuesday night when the restaurant was closed otherwise we would have had dinner as well. It is a family run business and you can tell the owners have been doing this for many years maintaining the pure classical kind and gentle Swiss hospitality. It was so good to see that these traditions are still surviving. Everything was looked into details, service was friendly but not too intrusive. Price was very good for the quality of the service we experienced, which was a big plus. The majority of clientele was German Swiss, even though we found French, Belgian and Asian guests as well. English is spoken, so there is no issue with prperly communication. The view there is just amazing with the big mountains to be contemplated by the garden with beautiful flowers. I would recommend the Bergenblick hotel in a hear beat!

The location, while out of the way, is a great spot beautiful green hillsides. The food was just excellent and the service the same.

Hmmm, dass essen war gut, die Leute freundlich, der Ausblick schön und das Haus sehr gemütlich. Unsere Betten quitschten und hatten einen riesen Graben dazwischen, dafür hatte ein Bett einen elektrisch verstellbaren Rost was sehr gemütlich zum TV schauen war, allerdings Verstand ich dann die Aussage des Besitzers als er bei Ankunft auf die Frage ob unser eFahrzeug evt. mit 6A/1,4 kW (Leistung eines Haarföhns oder Staubsaugers) über Nacht eingesteckt werden könnte, meinte, dass sein Haus über einen desolaten elektrischen Zustand verfügt und ihn schon die ganze elektrische Versorgung zusammen gebrochen sei als jemand sein eFahrzeug einsteckte. Die Steckdose unter diesem Bett sollte in der Tat einmal eine Abdeckung erhalten, da waren die Kontakte frei berührbar, was mal echt gar nicht geht. Ein ehrliches, wir haben Angst vor neuen uns unbekannten Sachen wie der eMobilität anstelle von abenteuerlichen Märchengeschichten wäre mir sympathischer gewesen und hätte auch einen Stern mehr gegeben. Sicherheitsrelevante Abdeckungen an Steckdosen zwingen aber definitiv zu einem Stern Abzug. Sorry.

Familiäres, charmantes Hotel im Chalet-Stil, zuvorkommendes Personal, saubere Zimmer, tolle Aussicht, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet.

Heimeliges Hotel. Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Nachtessen und Frühstück hervorragend. Gastgeber (Besitzer) sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder einmal.
