Mr. Wizards - Affton

Named after the Washington Wizards from the Michael Jordan era—a curious choice given St. Louis's distance from D.C.—Mr. Wizards has its redeeming qualities. The standout traits include their impressively low prices for custard and the friendly service from the young girl who attended to me during my visit. However, I found the custard to be somewhat lacking; it was a bit bland and didn't meet the high standards set by Ted Drewes, one of my favorite custard spots in the country. Nevertheless, with its affordability and excellent service, I believe Mr. Wizards deserves a solid four stars.

The best custard in town! Unfortunately, the information on their Yelp page is incorrect, as they are currently closed. They don’t have winter hours, so I can’t wait for spring!

During my first visit, I had an amazing experience. The custard was absolutely delicious, and the Kiddie Cups were reasonably priced. My son also loved watching all the dogs happily savor their Doggie Cups!

We absolutely adore this restaurant! Our family makes it a priority to visit at least once or twice a month. The variety of ice cream flavors is incredible.

I dined at Mr. Wizards on Saturday evening and had a fantastic experience. We all ordered concretes, and the highlight was certainly the Banana Pudding—it was outstanding! It's always a delightful treat, and the staff is exceptionally friendly, which made the wait much more pleasant.
