Bidra med feedbackAbsolutely fantastic! This was my first visit after receiving a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentic. I had the asada tacos and tamales, both of which were outstanding. The salsa was great too—two green options and one red—and the homemade corn tortillas were a delightful addition.
We visited this restaurant last week, and it had the BEST TACO we've had since leaving California. We loved the salsa bar with its wide variety of options. The owner and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We're looking forward to coming back today!
As I pushed open the heavy, zombie-proof door, I was greeted by a delightful display of Latino products. The store features two aisles filled with intriguing ingredients and snacks—it's quite possibly the most visually stimulating experience you'll have today. Don't forget to say hello to the friendly workers and owners; they are true masters of hospitality, though they appear to be humble immigrants. From there, you'll be magically transported to taco paradise by following a path lined with glass doors filled with Mexican drinks. The seating area offers seven tables, and there's a salsa cart that competes with any other in Aiken. Try each variety, but I've learned that it seems all humans are genetically predisposed to enjoy the avocado salsa (the light green one). The other options vary in heat and smokiness, and they are all delicious. Standing by the salsa cart places you right beside the order window—the gateway to a culinary paradise. They offer tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, and occasionally tamales. Each of the first five options can be filled with various meats: - Pollo (lean grilled chicken) - Asada (lean grilled beef) - Al Pastor (marinated pork bursting with flavor) - Carnitas (incredibly rich pulled pork, yes it's made of pork infused with more pork flavor—mind blown!) - Chorizo (ground Mexican sausage, maxed out on flavor) - Buche (pork stomach, silky and savory) - Cachete (beef cheek, reminiscent of roast beef) Here's why you're here: Tacos are serious business. Make sure to get the handmade corn tortillas. Squeeze fresh lime juice over them, add your choice of salsa, and ensure your first bite includes all the essential flavors—tortilla, meat, onion, cilantro, lime, and salsa. You. Are. Welcome. Gorditas are like tacos’ hot cousin—thick corn masa patties cooked and split open like a pita, stuffed with your meat of choice, lettuce, tomato, onion, crema, and cotija cheese. They offer a cool and creamy contrast to the bold, zesty taco. Quesadillas? Easy—just meat, cheese, and a large flour tortilla. Simple but satisfying! The torta is a sandwich made with taco-inspired ingredients—think of it as a next-level sandwich. That’s your torta. And the burrito? It’s the king of all burritos within a 20-mile radius. Size, flavor, quality—it's everything you want, and they cut it in half, so once you finish one side, you get to enjoy the other! Seriously, I believe other burritos must bow to its greatness. Once you've experienced authentic Mexican cuisine in Aiken, you can spread the word to friends and family and become the hero you’ve always wanted to be. Cue the slow clap. In conclusion, what better way to ride out an apocalypse than with the best a la carte Mexican food in Aiken? Enjoy your meal!
This is the Mexican food I've been seeking since I left California! The food and salsa are fantastic. The staff is really friendly as well!
This is one of my favorite hidden gem taco places. The customer service is excellent, and the food is consistently fantastic every time I visit!
