Mazza Garden - Ajax

Loved that place with the previous owners. The food quality were much better, prices were reasonable and customer service was great. The new owner was fighting with us because we said the falafel were very dry and we won’t eat it. Rather than apologizing and replacing it. She told us that it was our fault for not eating it right away. Mind you it was still warm and we were eating in the restaurant. I will never go back. They lost us as a customers.

We were desperate to find a new Lebanese place after our fav place closed in Newmarket. We need to keep looking after this experience. We walked in to a nice greeting but it was all downhill after that. We waited for everything. Terrible service even though there were only two other tables with people at it. Our ratings: Food 4 out of 10. Some dishes better than others but overall it was forgettable. Service 1 out of 10. We were left to beg for service including final bill which we had to ask for three times. We would have had another drink and dessert if anyone bothered to ask. Ambience 0. Terrible bright lights. Banquet chairs that were uncomfortable. Bright light in my face despite beautiful chandeliers hanging. Why would they not turn off the bright pot lights and just have the chandeliers lit with candles to create some ambience?

Always fun nights at mazza. staff are super nice and the music is always live. best place for a fun time!
