Ginza Japanese - Albany

Ginza is still closed, which is a real loss for the community. We miss the welcoming family atmosphere and your attention to detail. Your smile and amazing sushi are unmatched by anyone else in the area.

I am sad to report that it seems the restaurant has suddenly closed for good. I want to express my gratitude for all the delicious sushi and meals I have enjoyed there over the years. You were always my top choice for dining out in Albany.

The atmosphere is not great for a fancy date night, but the food is good. There are good options besides sushi for me, and the sushi is excellent for my wife. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 2.

For those travelling from out of town or not yet aware, please note that Ginza has sadly closed its doors for good. This was a fantastic spot with tasty food and excellent service. We will miss you, Ginza!

We used to regularly drive from Salem to Ginza's because the sushi was amazing. Unfortunately, when we went on February 20, 2023, we were saddened to discover that they had permanently closed due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope that the owners are doing well and understand how much we will miss making the drive just for their sushi.
