Newman's - Albany

The restaurant is very clean, and I appreciated the beer kiosk, though it felt slightly mismatched with the overall vibe. The interior has a modern feel reminiscent of The Optimist in Atlanta, with a subtle rustic charm. However, the selection of draft beers could use some improvement, as it leaned more towards mainstream options instead of featuring local craft brews. The food was good, but not particularly memorable; it lacked the unique dishes one might anticipate from a more upscale, contemporary establishment. Nonetheless, I had a positive experience overall, thanks to the excellent service.

I had my first meal at Newman's and ordered the Blackened Grouper Tacos along with a sweet potato. It was a great choice! The food was delicious, the portion size was generous, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service. I had originally planned to get a large salad, but the salad options on the menu didn’t look very appealing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would love to return!
