Never disappointed. Might not be the best seafood place in America but I would say it’s pretty good for Upstate New York. I go here at least twice a month and get some crabs. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My food was cold and came out too fast. The sausage in the boil was extremely over cooked and rubbery. The atmosphere is tacky and looks outdated. My table was still sticky and there were rips in the chair. I was also surprised to see my servers name in the reviews. A company telling their employees to write a review to keep a good rating shows you need to do better ! The robot was cute but I won’t be returning. For their high prices you should be getting more food then one half of a corn, 2 little sausage pieces and 2 halves of a baby potato. I also saw food being touched with no gloves on after I finished eating.. Disgusting. I’m not surprised the place was empty. I normally go to Union Seafood but wanted to try other seafood stores in albany . Union offers way more for less , and their seafood is great !

We got the snow crab legs with sausage/potatoes and corn. Food was great, good sized portion of crab, and the shacks seasoning is perfect. Our waiter was great, super friendly and attentive. And they had one of my favorite beers, the Ithaca brewing Flower Power. My only complaint if that would be the table, it’s a sticky plastic table cloth that you’ll immediately regret putting anything on. Wish they used the disposable paper like other Boil places. Other than quality of food and service was great, we would definitely come back.
