Bidra med feedbackWe stayed in Murphs while we visited the city for the week, and it was the right choice. Small town diving bar with amazing people. We loved it enough that we came back every night. Good prices on drinks, cheap pool and good conversations. I come out of my way to visit Murph again.
It's a decent spot if you're in the mood for a pub or dive bar. The staff is efficient, and they offer nice, cold beer. However, Murph's didn't have the same friendly atmosphere as many of the smaller town bars we visited during our trip.
I sat at the bar for about 30 minutes and even watched an entire inning of softball on their TV, but I couldn't get any service. It felt like I wasn't even there. The owner and the other woman working behind the bar glanced at me multiple times but chose to attend to other customers instead. I really felt invisible as a patron. If it weren't for my cousins, I wouldn't have been there at all, and I definitely won't be returning.
Great place to visit and have a cold beverage...but I didn't see any Saints memorabilia..
I met the owners, and they are incredibly friendly. Pat Murphy, in particular, is very personable and approachable.
