Collingwood Black Espresso - Albion

I had a really enjoyable breakfast overall. The coffee was excellent—just what you'd expect from a classic Aussie cappuccino (a regular cappuccino, no sugar, served in a mug)—and it really made my morning. The rhubarb pastry was a lovely touch as well. Unfortunately, the croque madame was somewhat average, but that's a dish that can be tricky to perfect. The venue has a nice atmosphere, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I definitely plan to return!

One of the staff members kindly explained the connection to Herve's Restaurant and Bar, a lovely barn and courtyard bar located at the back with an open spit. When we arrived, their Sunday Session was just getting started. Although renovations are ongoing due to flooding that affected the business, the place still looks and feels inviting. I encourage locals to support these businesses that have been impacted by the floods. This venue offers a wonderful experience from morning till evening. It truly captures my ideal country-urban vibe!

The coffee from Seven Miles Roasters was excellent. It's a pity that it's only available in takeaway cups, so be sure to bring your reusable cup! We did have to wait a bit for our food, but overall, we were very satisfied with our breakfast experience.
