Bonchon Richmond Hwy - Alexandria

If I could give it zero stars I would! The food was gross and undercooked. I had **** chicken, all drums (when we ordered majority wings), and bland rice. Even my pickled radish was wrong and gross. I simply may never eat Bonchon again. Sickening!

I come here pretty regularly, quality fluctuates. I would give this place 5 starts, but recently the experience has been lacking. The chicken katsu is my go-to dish, but recently they started adding these really gross, mushy mixed veggies on top. They aren't listed as part of the dish on their menu, but they keep adding it anyway. The juices from the veggies soak into the rice, contaminating about 60% off the food. There's also no way to add instructions to remove these veggies as they are very strict on charging you for special requests. You also can't order sodas through the website. Only water bottles. Not sure why since this place has bottles and a soda fountain.

We got chicken wings and a side of coleslaw. Chicken was good but 16 wings and two waters was $30+. The service is terrible. No greeting of any kind. Two teenagers that barely looked up from their phones. It was completely empty. Whole sections closed with stuff. Most chairs on top of tables. I like Bonchon. I'd like it to stay but at this rate they won't last here much longer.
