Fish Market - Alexandria

I had higher expectations from this place. When we arrived the place was empty and yet we didnt feel very welcomed. We had out baby sleeping the stroller and they wanted us to put the stroller in a corner far away from us. After we tried hard to make it work they asked us to carry the double stroller all the way up. My grilled veggies had alot of black pepper which made it spicy for me, i asked to get a replacement with no pepper and they brought me steamed unflavored veggies with bo potatoes. We found a hair in one of the plates so we had to return it. The soup wasnt hot it was little warm. Overall it was not a great experience and we ended up paying alot for service because its auto deducted. Its not kid friendly nor wheelchair accessible. Not worth it tbh

Great place for seafood. Not the freshest or best but solid :

The place very easy to find. We have been seated in no time. We asked to be seated close to the bar. We asked for calamari as appetiser and it was good choice, My son asked for 2 LP or Alaskan legs which was around 75$. Fish and chips were very nice, the presentation was poor! The Salomon sandwich was a disappointment! Need to work on the bun ! No greens that much Little pig pricy but that due to the area itself The beer was okay In general it was okay when it came to the crab not to the other type of food !

Best New England Clam Chowder. Went twice on our recent trip to Washington. So good! Service, atmosphere, etc were excellent!!! Hope to come back soon!

Rockfish was mealy. Jumbo stuffed shrimp were tiny and flavorless. Steak tacos were meh. Calamari was greasy with bland sauces. I would go again, just for the clam chowder and nothing else. Service was great. This used to be a reliable great restaurant, it's a shame that it's slipped this far .
