The Rub Chicken Beer - Alexandria

The food was delicious. Got there not too long after they opened for brunch, there is an upstairs area however i sat downstairs and had the whole area to myself. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food came out in a timely manner. Got a recommendation to try this place from a friend and wasn?t disappointed.

Now I know good southern cooking and this was a breath if fresh air. I had the ribs, ... these were so tender, no utensils necessary. The greens were just right. The chicken and waffles were as good as everyone else had already stated, no disappointment there. The Mac n cheese, what it lacked in thickness it made up for in flavor. Finished it off with the bread pudding which was really good, just make sure you ask for it to be warmed. It worked well with the ice cream on

Solid fried chicken. Not perfect as mine was cut a weird way so that it came off as long strips and got stuck in my teeth, and it wasn't the best seasoning I've ever had in my life. But it was good white meat without gristly bits, and it scratched the fried chicken itch. The Nutella pudding wasn't super Nutella-y. For weekday lunch, it was nice and roomy and they had a changing table in the bathroom! The food came out fast too, and the guy up front was very patient with a customer who took a long time to order.

5/5 for food, when I went the staff was a bit inattentive, but the food made up for that! Went during a hot day, but the outdoor sitting had perfect shade so the breeze was nice. Chicken was well seasoned, had the perfect crunch, and the buns were soft! The crunchy sweet potato fries were also super good! Highly recommend if you're feeling some good chicken sandwich!

First off let me start off by saying NICOLE who worked during the day on Monday 5/16/22 was super rude and unwelcoming. For new customers who need guidance advice and suggestions she makes smirky comments like well everything on our menu is good I simply asked what do you recommend or what 's good ..... she walked away from us and said let me know what y 'all decide literally no help, she seems very bothered rushed and entitled with a slab of raciest... Customer service makes or breaks a place for me bc the experience is supposed to be shared with the food. This place is as someone else explained is forgettable !!!! avoid it!
