Bub's Pie Shop - Algona

I love Bubs! It's a local small business located in Algona, IA with funky and amazing decor. The space is large, clean, and beautifully decorated. The owner cooks everything to order themselves. There are a variety of seating options available. Customers place their order at the counter and it is called when ready. The menu includes soups, sandwiches, cakes, and baked carrots, with frequent changes. Everything is made from scratch and absolutely delicious! I had the pulled rosemary with tomato bisque soup and strawberry cake, both were amazing. My dining companion had the sloppy joe with ham potato soup and cherry cake. We were both served water and the portions were generous. The total for both meals was $24. I would give them 5 stars without hesitation! Next time I'm in Algona, I will definitely return to try more dishes and maybe even take a whole cake home.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very inviting and calming. The food was all homemade and delicious. I would recommend this place and will definitely return in the future.

This restaurant is amazing! Whenever we are in Algona, we make sure to stop by. The food is all made in-house and the owner goes above and beyond to provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience. We never leave without taking home a delicious pie. The prices are reasonable and we especially enjoy the chicken salad and soups. We highly recommend both the food and service!

Great soup, sandwiches- and fantastic home made PIE. Fun little place with personal, friendly counter service.

Best pies. Recommend Coconut cream pie. My favorite. Also, love there sloppy joes
