Fredericks - Allerdale

My wife and I took a trip to Lowther Castle and Gardens with our in-laws, and after experiencing terrible weather, we decided to drive to Cockermouth to indulge in the excellent food at Fredricks, a restaurant we have frequented many times before. We began with the seafood platter selection along with a side of chips for our child. The platter was a fantastic choice for seafood lovers! We then ordered some delicious main dishes, enough to feed 3 adults and 2 children (including a kid's meal of pizza and chips). It was a lovely meal to end the evening. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

This place is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious with plenty of choices, and the cocktails are great too! I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. The food and service were exceptional. The portions are a good size and the service was just lovely. We could not fault it at all. A lovely end to a stay in the Lakes.

We were apprehensive about dining here after reading mixed reviews but we could not fault any of our meals. We arrived a bit early so sat at the bar and had a few of the cocktails off the menu, there are plenty to choose from! We were seated in the back dining area which was very nice. We all had a starter and main and couldn’t fault anything, we really enjoyed all the food. There wasn’t a long wait for the food either and the waiting staff were really helpful and attentive. If we ever came back to Cockermouth we would definitely eat here!
