South City Kitchen Avalon - Alpharetta

The food was beautifully presented and well-prepared, but it lacked some of the flavors typically found in southern cuisine. The drinks were excellent, though. While the prices seemed a bit high for the meal, the pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff made for a great experience overall!

I made a reservation for 8 a.m., and by 8:01, several servers walked by without checking on us or offering any assistance. It took about 20 minutes for the first server to greet us. The food took 45 minutes to arrive, although our waiter was attentive. Overall, the service could have been much better. However, the Kansas City Strip Steak was delicious.

Good spot for casual to fine dining in Alpharetta. I went for breakfast and there was a good selection. Overall it is a good spot located at hotel entrance area...somewhat hard to find with map navigation and thus just direct yourself to (The Hotel at Avalon, Autograph Collection) as map can send you to a parking lot at backside of hotel. The ambiance is warm and good for groups.

In general really good food, however it is a reduced menu, compared to the location downtown. The pork is amazing, the place is clean. As this is also the breakfast restaurant for the hotel, I would recommend to open 30 minutes earlier. Staff in the restaurant could be a bit more attentive, the team at the bar is great.

The atmosphere, food, and service at this restaurant are simply wonderful. The baked green tomatoes are outstanding, and the hanger steak is cooked to perfection. The halibut was also incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant and am excited to explore more of their menu in the future.
