Chong's Chop Suey - Alton

I have to give it 5 stars, because I'm sitting here craving the St. Paul sandwich. I've had the shrimp and the veggie sandwiches, and I love them. I'd choose those over chicken. Owner is nice. Prices are cheap! Atmosphere is an absolute zero with almost no seating, but who cares when I can buy this addictive sandwich.

Sooo good! I love you to get roasted rice with egg foo yung Gravy. The St Paul Sandwiches are great. Years ago, we lived a few blocks away from Chongs. That was 38 years ago. We're here all the time. We're 26 miles away and we're going to make the ride.

Good unique flavors and cool place! Classic view into the house, Oooold school, I felt like I jumped back in 1981. EGG ROLL is the best, not competition. It takes about 15 minutes to eat. Great portions and chicken roasting was great! The sweet and sour chicken was fine, it was more bread

We were randomly in this area and this restaurant came to Google. There is a real local atmosphere. (I love support points that are not chains! The food was ready in 15 minutes. As they only get out, we went to Haskell Park to eat (big park by the way! Food is good (it's hard on the sauce, FYI but it's SUPER hot. Be careful not to burn your mouth! We got the beef with noodles (type of soup, tasty, beef broccoli (fairly saucy, comes with roasted rice, and cashew chicken (extrem saucy, comes with roasted rice). The portions are hearty (we ordered large, which is worth two meals. Overall a fun experience.

Been coming here for over 20 years. Best fried rice hands down. Always fresh you can tell what the meat is. Jay has always been nice and he always remembers me. I drive over 45 min to get this rice and always bring people with me so they can try. They all agree best rice between Illinois and Missouri
