Tasty and well prepared fish of the day. The Kingklip was fresh and the blanched veggies, a healthy treat. A gem against the slopes of Toti!

Great food,service and ambiance were excellent! Just one night stopover from Cape Town and was pleasantly surprised with this find. Great value for money,very friendly staff, definitely can recommend.

Please jump to next paragraph for the restaurants review. First night in Durban, starved, off to Giorgio's we went. Based on the address we got on this website, we couldn't find the place. We persisted given as it was the closest decently rated restaurant to where we lived, and also it was close to 9pm and this place seemed to be one of the few still opened. Also, the opening times were different to what is indicated on zomato as on our arrival we were told the kitchen closes at 9.30pm and the restaurant at 10.00pm.<br/ <br/ I ordered the fish of the day, which was a kingklip fillet that came with a side of pesto mashed potatoes served with steamed vegetables. My husband ordered the tiger prawns served with Thai rice and our daughter had a Gianni pizza. All three of us were utterly pleased with our meals. Yes the Thai rice was a touch under seasoned and I brought that to the attention of the manager who courteously accepted my comments. The complimentary pizzete as well as the chocolate truffles only added to the experience. I felt obliged to review this place as a note of 3.4 didn't at all do it justice, I would most definitely come back to Durban, if not only to return to Giorgio's

Giorgio's has expanded since our previous visit and retains a distinctly luxurious atmosphere. The waiters deliver exceptional service, but we had to wander through the restaurant a bit before being noticed. Must have been the dim romantic lighting. The menu is not too elaborate and has stayed fairly constant for a while, with consistent quality you can rely on. Really good pizza, but this time I had a fillet. It was well prepared and delicious. But the real reason why we go to Giorgio's is for the view.

The food was excellent, as always, but I believe it's time to update the menu. It hasn't changed in my last five visits. There were also very few wine options available, which may have been due to the December holidays. Regarding the service, there was a slight attitude issue, but it was resolved once we brought it to their attention.
