Bidra med feedbackEverything about Amarillo Hut is top notch! They have the friendliest best service in Amarillo. They help you find things you might like educate you about the different menu offerings. They will even provide free 'samples ' (which are huge- almost a whole serving by themselves. The chicken tikka (Indian BBQ chicken) is insanely good even the most picky eater will like it. That 's a great place to start off. But...THE SAMOSAS!!! However many you buy, it will not be enough! They are INSANELY good crazily addictive and i always kick myself for not buying more of them. The Aloo ke paratha are fabulous too- like two large homemade tortillas stuffed with wonderful spicy potatos served with delicious hot sauces. Oh, forgot to mention the dessert dumplings called golub jamun. utterly unlike anything I 've ever tried before but definitely a new favorite.
This is the top Indian cuisine in Amarillo by a landslide. If you haven't tried this yet, you need to when you can. The family that runs this is great. Not only is this the best Indian cuisine, but it is one of the best restaurants in the Panhandle!
The butter chicken curry is amazing and does wonderful things for my daughter's arthritis. A meal is $10 including the drink and two meals feeds my family of 4. It is hard to feed 4 people for $20 anywhere else with food this fresh and delicious. As great as the food is, the customer service is even better. The staff take the time to get to know their customers on a more personal level, making the entire experience that much more special. I cannot wait for the new place to open, so my daughter can have her chicken rice as she calls it.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. My family travelled from Houston and we were famished. We needed food (zabiha halal too! for dinner. The staff took our orders even though they were swamped with orders. We loved the mango lassi and the kids enjoyed the butter chicken with naan. We will most certainly patronize this restaurant whenever we are next in Amarillo for affordable, tasty Indian food. Please note that this is a take-out place. They have a small 'alfresco ' area if the weather permits for you to eat out.
This is the place to go for Authentic Indian Food. I watched as the owners worked on the building before opening. The people here are very friendly and very willing to explain their food and offered a sample of the day's special and Samosa (a fried pastry with a wonderful potato filling), Chutney and Raita which are both condiments. Both were wonderful. The Raita is Chutney with yogurt and is mild. I liked the Chutney with its bold taste. I love vegetarian dishs and had the special for the day. For those who love their meat there are a variety of options that all sound good. I give Amarillo Hut 5 stars for their love of people and wanting to share their loved Indian foods. Food is great!
