Broad Axe Tavern - AMBLER

We'll definitely miss the Broad Axe! It's a fantastic spot for a drink or a lovely dinner.

The service was terrible, but the server was friendly, and the food was delicious.

We chose Broad Axe because there was no wait for a table on a Saturday night. The warmth of the fireplace was a delightful comfort on a cold winter evening. The menu offered an extensive variety of options, but it wasn’t too overwhelming. The tables were spaced far enough apart that each party could enjoy their conversations comfortably. The portions were generous. I particularly enjoyed the beet and Gorgonzola salad, as well as the French dip sandwich. However, I’m not a big fan of the domestic potato chips.

New Year’s Eve and could order off menu or the Package. Food was good and service was attentive.

We booked this restaurant at the last minute for New Years Eve, early dinner. We were pleasantly surprised. Their were 4 of us who wanted to grab a bite before going to church that evening. We didn't want to travel far and it was a halfway point between us and the couple we were eating with. We ordered our food and had a good time talking with each other. Once the food arrived we all enjoyed it thoroughly. I usually order burgers well done from places and they never quite get it right so I usually have to send it back for more cooking. Here they got it right. I did not have to send it back! The portions were great as well. My husband ordered from the New Year's Eve menu and the rest of us ordered from the regular menu. Everything we had was very delicious. Wonderful last minute choice. We will probably go again.
