Toomey's Tavern - Amityville

The food was alright for typical bar fare, but the service was, to put it mildly, lacking. The waitress delivered our meals and then seemed to vanish. We would have ordered more drinks, but after waiting over half an hour, I had to go into the restaurant to find her for the check, as the kids were getting restless. This was on a Thursday afternoon around 2:30, and there was no excuse for the lack of attention. It wasn't busy at all. Just unacceptable.

Fantastic food, with the option to dine outdoors by the water in a beautiful setting. Lisa, the bartender, is both professional and friendly, adding to the overall experience. It’s a wonderful spot to visit year-round! For vegetarians, there are fish options, a variety of vegetables, and more. Parking is always easy to find, and there is accessibility with a ramp for both indoor and outdoor dining.

The burgers here are fantastic! The atmosphere is enjoyable with plenty of TVs around. The bartenders and staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!
