Bidra med feedbackThat's a place where I'm glad I'm here because of the reputation he has and the novelty of eating here. The service was super friendly and the food was very good. I recommend the Obama Special.
Roscoe 's Fried Chicken and Waffles is as much of a Southern California institution as going to an In-N-Out Burger. There are plenty of places which serves this breakfast-meets-lunch meal, but very few can provide consistently good food at each visit. This newest Roscoe 's (or 'Scoes, as the fans call it) is located just south of Disneyland, off Harbor Boulevard and Orangewood. Its the largest one,
Recently visited this LA fried chicken mainstay with a group of five. We found the security guard stationed outside the front door to be a little weird (i.e., the need for one; not that the guard was a weird guy). The fried chicken was delicious, crispy and moist. The waffles were fairly standard--nothing special. The staff was friendly. Be aware that they have a policy of not giving separate checks to groups so you're out of luck if you need to be reimbursed for business travel.
Being from Australia, chicken and waffles is a totally new concept to us as we don't have anything like it anywhere. I've heard of it before but never actually knew there was a restaurant specifically dedicated to this amazing dish! I got the number 11 I think, the Carol C special. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken I've ever had. Hands down. The waffle was also fluffy and delicious and the perfect addition to the crispy and juicy chicken breast. It was a delicious combination between sweet and savoury. The maple syrup was the perfect marriage between the two foods. The service was also brilliant, the servers giving their recommendations to some chicken and waffles novices. We were so impressed with the meal, the service and the whole feeling of the place we even bought some apparel on the way out!
That was a good meal before flying back to Canada.... What a great way to end my stay in California : I loved the fried chicken here... The chicken was juicy and flavorful plentiful too. Sure beats Mary Brown's and KFC up in Canada. It even beats the famous fried chicken place inside Disneyland, what was it, Plaza Inn. The corn bread was sub par in my opinion a little too dry and not flavorful enough. The waffles were great though. This chicken waffle meal is also miles better than Hash House a Go Go in Vegas (3535 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109 . Overall, I'm very pleased with this location with the staff and service. I was startled by the security guard greeter person at the front entrance but it was just for my own safety : I'm cool with that.
