Bombay South Indian Cuisine - Anchorage

The main dishes were full of flavor, although they weren't as spicy as I expected from my medium spice order. The Naan was unfortunately burnt and came without any dipping sauce, which was disappointing. However, the chai was very good (it comes unsweetened), but I never received a refill. The staff was friendly and polite, but they didn't check in frequently to see if we needed more chai, water, or anything else. I’m definitely willing to give them a second chance, as the quality of the main dish was excellent. I do think the prices are a bit high considering the portion sizes, but the taste was outstanding. Based solely on value, I think Bombay will have to be more of an occasional treat rather than a regular dining option.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the dosa—both the flavor and portion size were just right. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. Parking appeared to be ample and conveniently shared. The samosas, mango lassi, and tea were also exceptional. However, I think the chutneys could use improvement, as they were a bit thin and didn't match the quality of the other dishes. Overall, I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it!

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! It features a cozy seating area where you can choose your preferred spot. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and greeted us with smiles. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and even if there was a delay, the delicious meals were worth it. They offer a wide variety of food options to choose from. Our dishes arrived hot and mostly at the same time, so no one was left waiting. Additionally, they serve homemade ice cream that is absolutely delightful. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for lunch or dinner. You can either take your time or grab a quick meal. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Dosa and Sambhar are or may be ok for Foreigner. Totally zero for the sambhar taste. Dosa no salt. Service by the Nepali girl was with attitude. May not visit again or recommend. SORRY.

We were looking for Dosa for our kids as we have been in Alaska and kids had not had a good meal. They served Dosa which was good and we order nan, paneer tikka masala which was very good. They offered me tea on the house, which was just perfect for the weather. Very nice service
