Bidra med feedbackFirst I can say it's wow! The first time that Rammen eats here, I ate a ton of Pho, but never was in a Rammen house. I was cold and hungry and kept in this facility because it has great reviews and I was in the neighborhood. Nice little authentic smokehouse. I have the veggie for Fu-Manano wheels. It's soooo good! I'll come back and take friends. Delicious fresh tasting!
We had a wonderful time here eith friendly staff and delicious food! We ordered a sushi roll, ramen and the blue fried rice and it was all very tasty.
It's tough to find good cheap eats in Anchorage, and ramen hasn't quite hit the food scene yet. But Ramen House is a great value. Friendly staff. Mature flavor combinations. Generous toppings. Delicious!
The interior was not exactly what I expected from the exterior. We were greeted immediately when we entered and directed to the table of our choice. The service continued to be friendly and outstanding. My family drinks a lot of water and our glasses did not get more than 1/2 empty during our entire visit. We started with the gyoza which was freshly made and fabulous. We had two kinds of ramen and both were very good. My chashu pork was a bit on the dry side but the chashu egg was amazing! A good find, we’ll be back.
I made a solo visit here for dinner in December 2017. What Taco King is to menudo and Pho Lena and Phonatic are to pho, Ramen House is to ramen. A place of notel I had read about Ramen House in a review in the local paper and decided I had to come here for a meal on my next trip to Anchorage. I arrived around 5:45 pm and was instructed to take a seat anywhere I liked. Upon claiming my table, I was quickly provisioned with water and delicious green tea. I chose to have an appetizer of gyoza and the shoyu ramen. The ramen came out first, piping hot in a stylish bowl. I dove in. I was not terribly fond of the broth right off the bat, buy you know what? It grew on me. It had a slightly medicinal/cardboard note to it, but the more I ate it, the less I cared. It was a rich broth that had a really great mouth feel. Given the configuration of the serving bowl, The presentation looked a bit odd. I expected a busier looking bowl of soup as it was, everything seemed to get lost in the broth. The good news here is that there was lots of it, and I savored every last drop, slightly excess saltiness notwithstanding. The ramen came with two slices of pork belly, a pickled egg, and other tasty ingredients. I was really impressed with the ramen noodles. The nice lady server advised that they came from Japan. The gyoza was a serving of 6 dumplings that were not over fried. Indeed, they were perfect. The server brought out chili pepper and garlic sesame oil sauces in which you could dip the dumplings. Actually, they were good enough to stand on their own. I enjoyed my experience here and recommend it to anyone who yearns for the days of ramen in the dorm room only much, much better!
