Where to start? Well, my mother and I braved the single digit outside temperature and headed to Simon Seafort’s for lunch. We were seated by the windows and had a beautiful view of Cook Inlet. Our server, Mary, was wonderful. She was attentive without being fawning. She was friendly and engaging. She was very helpful with the menu and guiding me towards a dish that I would enjoy. Since this was going to be our main meal of the day, we started out with the Tipsy Clams, my mother’s favorite. So good. Next, we each had a cup of clam chowder. It was hot, flavorful, and full of clams! Woot! Momma had the Grilled Salmon and Chilled Shrimp Louie Salad as her entree and loved every bite. I had the Wagyu Sirloin Steak with fingerling potatoes and market vegetables. It was cooked perfectly, was very tender, and full of flavor. Thank you to everyone at Simon and Seafort’s for a wonderful meal and experience. We will definitely be back.
The food was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. Our server was super attentive and so sweet. We had the perfect view of the sunset over the inlet and the noise level was low enough we could carry on a conversation. We really enjoyed our first experience here!
Service and food quality has gone downhill while prices went way up. We used to love Simon's! :
I had the crab artichoke sandwich as its always been my favorite... Not what I expected... dry and crusty, couldn't taste crab. The calamari was good though. It seems that Simons food has not been the best. Last time it was chicken Dijon and the chicken was so tough, I couldn't eat it.
