Rodz Grille - Angels Camp

I thought the hashbrowns were on point! Golden, crispy, delish. The vibe was super local and very fun. Only thing was the staff attentiveness to front door was not great, and folks we're waiting to be seated, and it was a bit of a lag on checking on tables. Other than that these young ladies did their best and the food was HUGE. You get so much for the money!

Right opposite from Angel Camp Museum, this place seems to be a popular stop for the motorcyclers. The service is good. The food is descent. I like their biscuits with gravy a lot as the whole biscuit is soft and the gravy is warm to the right degree. Daddy O's omelette is ok, not as big a portion as Denny's though. The steak from King of the Road is very soft and juicy. The only thing I don't like is the a few persistent annoying flies.

I have always been more than happy with my numerous experiences at Rodz. I highly recommend them. The service is friendly and helpful. They don't mind special request. The food is great and the servings will fill you up. The prices are equal to other places in town. Due to coved.

I only wish that there was a ZERO star. Before I begin my review I want to say that i've never been there before, and will NEVER return. I ordered the burger with avocado and bacon. I have NEVER had a piece of meat that was sooooo dry, tough and tasteless that I only took 2 bites even though I hadn't eaten for 8 hours because I had to fast for tests . That's all that I could stand !! The onion rings were good and tided me over until dinner. I was preparing dinner for our dog and started to break up the burger ? by hand and could have VOMITED when I found these long ,ugly looking pieces of 1/4 inch wide ,3to 4 inches long, tube/membrane....Lord knows what . I showed my husband , he eats dang near anything, and he told me to throw it out......and I did!! Rusty had a different dinner ! On the bright side, OUR WAITRESS WAS FANTASTIC !! We left her a $20.00 tip, she earned it going back and forth to our outside table. I hope that she remembers us and our beautiful Springer Spaniel !!
