Chen's Chinese Bistro - Apache Junction

This restaurant has undergone a lot of changes in recent years. When I visited on this particular night for dinner, I had to repeat my order to two young girls multiple times, but they still got it wrong when it arrived. One of them was playing with a toy and the other seemed more interested in their phone. The cook, who may be the owner, was very friendly and corrected our order. He always tries his best to get orders out quickly, but the taste and quality of the food have declined. It's a bit of a gamble dining here. I visited this restaurant for the second time in a week. I mentioned to the owners how much I loved the egg foo young and wanted to have it again. They informed me that vegetarian options are available, although I didn't order my dish without meat. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The meal cost between $10-20 per person. I highly recommend trying the Egg Flower Soup.

I spent over $60 on a complete meal. Nothing stood out as exceptional but everything was edible. However, the egg foo young was the worst I have ever tasted and the Chinese donuts were more like canned biscuits. Overall, the meal was disappointing.
