California Pizza Kitchen At Santa Anita

We had a truly delightful dinner at CPK SANTA ANITA. The food—spaghetti, bread with butter, and pizza—was all incredibly tasty. However, the 5-star rating really belongs to our server, RACHEL, who greeted us with such great energy! The service was outstanding, and if every restaurant could match it, they would all improve. She made sure we were happy, kept our water filled, and regularly checked in, demonstrating genuine care for everyone enjoying their meal. As frequent diners, we understand the importance of a good team and server, and Rachel set a fantastic example of exceptional service!

Our pizza was served late, with half of it fluffy and the other half burned. Some pieces looked deflated, lacking any appeal. The carne asada pizza was lacking in both meat and flavor, and the avocado on the club pizza was far from fresh. It showed signs of aging, rather than the vibrant green one would expect. It seems that CPK doesn't pay much attention to the quality of the ingredients they use. The restaurant is partially open to the shopping center on the second floor, and we were seated near the restrooms. Personally, I don't think a restaurant should have tables located so close to the toilets, especially without a full wall to separate the dining area. On a positive note, we did enjoy some cool air from the air conditioning, as it was quite hot in the waiting area. Our waiter was friendly, and even the manager stopped by to apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, the pizzas just didn't meet expectations, which negatively impacted our overall experience. However, I must say that the restaurant was kept clean. We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. Since we were celebrating my birthday, he kindly surprised us with a complimentary dessert complete with a birthday candle.

If you?re in the mall and you don?t feel like to go to mall?s food court, you may give a try to this place. Not too noisy nor crowded. Foods are not the best but pretty okay. I had Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. Pasta needs to be cooked a bit more in my opinion. And I also had Strawberry Lime Margarita which is pretty refreshing.
