The Antlers - Argyll Bute

My experience at this restaurant was terrible. The owner was unfriendly and charged us too much for our meal. She refused to give me a glass of tap water. When I discovered the overcharge and went back to complain, the chef insulted me all the way down the street and even drove after me to continue being disrespectful. It's sad to leave such a beautiful location with a negative memory. It's not difficult to be kind, but this establishment crossed the line from hospitality to hostility.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The staff welcomed me warmly and served me some delicious cake and coffee. It was great to chat with the owner and her partner, who clearly love running the cafe. Everything is homemade, from the food to the cakes, and the place is clean and well-maintained. Whether you're looking for a morning coffee, lunch, or a main meal, you will enjoy your visit here. It's one of the few places open at 8am, making it a perfect start to your day on Jura.

This charming cafe in Jura is dog-friendly and offers a warm welcome. The seafood dishes are fresh and generously portioned at a reasonable price. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the homemade lasagne. We can't wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Good service, nice food but very expensive seafood for dinner. We arrived with no wine as there were no signs to say it’s not licenced.

Distinctly average food and no tap water provided. I’ve never known anywhere that didn’t provide tap water and we didn’t want to use plastic bottled water that was the main alternative. Waitress was unhelpful and food took a while to come. OK if the pub isn’t serving food yet but wasn’t impressed.
