Bidra med feedbackI don't want to bash Jonathon's Table or lay into them with extreme language or interpretation. Lovely little restaurant and fine people working there. But thats honestly about where the review stops. Other than the bread served with dinner there is nothing...and I mean absolutely nothing exceptional, ambitious, noteworthy or memorable about a meal at JT's. The menu is limited and basic. The presentation of the dishes was basic. The overall flavor spectrum was basic. I am totally and completely amazed at the overall rave reviews here on TA. This place is a 3/5 at best IMO. We had a salmon dish finished with a maple glaze and a grilled swordfish. Both dishes tasted....perfectly fine of good quality....and thats it! End of the day you're paying way too much for basic good nicely prepared and utterly non impactful meals. We didnt have dessert, they presentation looked pretty nice so I'd venture the desserts might be the bomb but again I cant attest.
I have to visit this restaurant every time I visit Vermont. I have never had a better prime rib. EVERYTHING is homemade, down to the delicious, creamy homemade bleu cheese dressing! I had squash as a side to the prime rib and it totally soaked up the meat flavor. Ponytailed Steve is the best waiter. He's fun and has spot-on suggestions. I can't stop thinking about this place. Cozy, casual, and welcoming. I'll be back, again and again!
5 stars plus! This is a must stop! Outstanding food and the service was wonderful. We 've been told this place is the hidden treasure of Arlington. I concur it is awesome. Kayla provided the best service too...a very friendly atmosphere!
This is a gem of a restaurant. As good as some Michelin starred restaurants I've been too for much more reasonable prices. The food is fantastic. The bread is to die for. A real gem. You will not be disappointed.
Doris L is right on. This place is terrible. I'm befuddled by the reviews on TripAdvisor and on here. However, this is a crowded place with many repeat visitors so obviously, people genuinely like it. However, we did not. The food was terrible my husband's steak was basically inedible and nothing but gristle. The decor is beyond country kitsch, not in a good way. They pump muzac throughout we heard Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, etc. The wine was terrible (cheap national grocery store options). I can't adequately communicate how much we disliked this place. It was just. Terrible.
