Varandinha De Arouca

After a long walk in Passadiços do Paiva we went to arouca to restore strength. The best dish could only be the traditional Posta Arouquesa which was accompanied by a Arroz de salpicaõ , which was very good. The meat was tender and the availability of the employee to access my special requests was what most pleased us.

Highly spoken from various friends we decided to go there and give it a shot. The service started slow and amateurish at best, asking us what we wanted to eat and drink without even the menus being handed to us. We ordered and after two ordered whines and two waitresses comebacks saying the whine was not available, the 3rd time was finally the charm (although 2 smaller bottles had to be served, the regular 0,75cl was not available) The starter mozzarella with tomatos is horrible. The posta arouquesa was very good, but the rice that came with it was not (not cooked, no flavour). I don 't even remember what we ordered for dessert, and since I don 't, well... The view is however very good, ask for a table near the window at sunset and it is very pleasant, shame the let the place ride on it 's fame and the quality is not the same from a couple of years ago.
