Bidra med feedbackI came here after being told the nengmyun is amazing. I consider myself a nengmyun snob so I couldn't wait to try it out. Went with my husband and was so unimpressed it hurt. We ordered nengmyun and galbi. For being so expensive they gave you a tiny bit of galbi and the nengmyun bowl was so big, but they gave such a small portion of noodles. The taste of the noodles was very beef brothy but didn't have the sweetness or tang like regular nengmyun. The hot mustard and vinegar did help though. The galbi was so burnt even the onions under it were burnt to a crisp. Definitely would not recommend. I did give 3 stars cause this is one of the few nengmyun spots that still serve hot broth (yooksoo) and I love that. Very nostalgic.
I came here with my cousins over the weekend because It was hot and I was craving cold noodles. Parking here isn't an issue, and the place is pretty small. I got the mul-naengmyeon and small bossam plate. Food here is a little less saltier than other places, which I like! The waiter is also a pretty funny guy lol. Overall no complaints, would come back again.
If you like authentic Korean NangMyeon with broth served with Jujeonja (stainless steel pot) at your table and three or four traditional side dishes/Banchan that remind you of the grandmother's home cooking, you got to get yourselves in this hole in the wall at Arcadia. It's off of Hwy 91 West and Norwalk Blvd. The lone server is ready to take the orders but not very informative. She warmed up to us toward the end since we were the last customers. She was super nice and gave us extra Banchan that is usually not served. The Banchan were Kimchi, bean sprouts, sliced turnip in sweet vinegar and celery in sweet soy sauce. The main fares are Korean BBQ Ribs, Mul NangMyeon, Hwe Bibim NangMyeon, Seafood Green Onion Pancake and steamed rice. The BBQ ribs came out piping hot grilled to perfection and on four hot plates and cold broth with ice for Mul NangMyeon perfectly seasoned. My Hwe NangMyeon was way too sweet for me. It was pretty decent but way too sweet for me. Fabulous small hole in the wall with absolutely authentic NangMyeon! I strongly recommend the Mul NangMyeon. Don't order Wang Sized NangMyeon. It's too much food for one person.
Hidden gem. Went for lunch with two friends met with extremely attentive and courteous staff. Definitely a home cooked meal vibe. Ate family style. Food as amazing. Noodles, Bossam, Dumplings, Seafood Pancake, Soup, and sides all worth the price. Highly recommended.
Service is good but food tasted merely ok, and portions were small (around $50 for two after gratuity). Place was empty during lunch hour.
