The restaurant is a must in the Basque Country by its quality, reception and incredible setting! If you are on the coast, don't hesitate to come 10km inside the country, in the charming village of Ascain. At the foot of the Rhune mountain, at the end of a very quiet little path, you will find the famous hotel-restaurant Axafla Baïta, which means in the opulent Basque house. The restaurant has its name very well! You will be warmly welcomed by the waiter, you will enjoy the delicious and abundant cuisine of Chef Peïo! I returned twice during my stay and took the menu of the noon (soupe d'entrée dessert vin pour 17,50€ . The entrance and the dish change every day, and it was each time a party! Milesker!

On the advice of a friend, we went to eat in this typical Basque restaurant. The landscape is beautiful in a green setting. . The welcome is a little remote. Too bad! A little friendliness would be much more pleasant. The kitchen is excellent, copier, tasty, homemade. Nothing to say again. 10/10. We'll be there without hesitation.
