Bidra med feedbackTupelo honey has a wonderful salad with lemon vinaigrette and that's what I always order with roasted chicken. Everything on the menu is great. Wonderful spot for lunch with the girlfriends.
I have missed this restaurant!!! There was one in Atlanta and while we liked it...it was not the same. The one in Atlanta closed so when we came to Asheville we had to come here. The service and the food was so much better than I remembered!!! We got the chicken and waffle with the siracha on the side. The fried green tomatoes and the two eggs and potatoes breakfast. We were starving so no one took pictures.
Arrived at one o'clock, didn't get our lunch until two o'clock. When my friend asked for another lemon for his hot tea, the waiter pointed to the lemon on my plate and said he could use that one. Tupelo Honey used to be one of my favorite Asheville restaurants, but less than great experiences the last few visits and frequent menu changes are making me rethink that. Which I really hate saying.
This didn't feel like the traditional Tupelo Honey. The food was mediocre at best and our server was slow and ambivalent. Overall not a great experience and definitely would not return.
We were seated immediately. Service was just OK. There were two if us. Our order was smothered chicken sides were potatoes and crispy Brussel sprouts and one of the quinoa bowls and a side of whole grain toast. Server was nice but she forgot to put in the order for the quinoa bowl. So when our order was brought out only my smothered chicken came out (with sides) and my companion 's side of toast. Server came over after food was brought out and asked if we needed anything else and we were like yeah, the whole other meal . She went back to the register and you could tell by her expression that she forgot to put in the order for the quinoa bowl. She came back and told us that the kitchen was finishing up the quinoa bowl, but what she really meant to say was that they were making it. So, needless to say we did not eat our meals together. I would have had more respect for someone to come and admit the mistake hey, I forgot to put your order in but I have notified the kitchen and they are working on it as fast as possible. Instead of blaming it on the kitchen and saying they 're almost done. And the person who delivered my smothered chicken had her thumbs all up on my chicken. Serving 101. kinda gross. The Brussel sprouts and potatoes were a lot of bits and pieces. Mostly just fried strayed Brussel sprout leaves instead of whole/halved fried Brussels. Same with the potatoes. I also feel like because the kitchen was forced to hurry the quinoa bowl it was very lackluster. Some of the veggies were over charred. Not great. We don 't cone here often but thought we would enjoy time together with someone else cooking and the experience was forgettable.
