Salsarita's Fresh Cantina - Asheville

Something has changed for the worse in the last 6 months. Food quality and freshness have declined. This used to be on my regular rotation of local places for lunch but this may be my last trip here. It was much better in the beginning.

Restaurant has gone down hill in quality since it first opened. Portion sizes are smaller and food is not as fresh, service is also slow.

Really bad food, do not recommend. No problem with the service- the folks working were nice- but the food was not very fresh and everything was exceptionally bland. The rice was microwaved, cafeteria-style, and even the soda machine wasn't working and dispensed off-colored water from all drink options.

Drive the extra 5 min to chipotle.Salsarita's used to be good but going downhill. Rice is crunchy, steak tastes like it's made in a crockpot and the portions are getting smaller and smaller while prices go up.

These guys have the most delicious an affordable Southwest Mexican food. I love how the fact that their chips already have melted cheese on them. They also offers smaller all sizes if you're trying to cut carbs are calories. So much better than Moe's!
