Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant has been in business for thirty years, and their experience is evident in the quality of the food. Three members of our group tried the Peking Meat Sauce and agreed it pairs best with the egg noodles. The pickled carrot and silver potato appetizers are both unique and delicious, so I highly recommend including them in your meal. The staff were friendly, but they weren't as informative when it came to the ordering process.
I'm not sure why this place has such high ratings. The food was average at best, and the service was just okay. There are numerous little things that confuse me about this restaurant. For example, why is the dipping sauce served on a plate instead of in a bowl? Why does it say "spicy" when there's no spice whatsoever? Why is it labeled as vermicelli when it’s actually ramen noodles? And why do they pour the sauce over the squid? The dumplings were decent but could definitely use more seasoning. On the plus side, the prices are reasonable, but I have no desire to return.
I've visited this restaurant 20 times, and it remains my favorite! It's not upscale and has more of a take-out vibe, but the service, quality of food, and portion sizes offer great value for downtown Asheville. Sitting outside on the patio or sidewalk is also a really enjoyable experience!
I was craving ramen, my friend was craving Thai, and my other friend wanted Chinese. We came to the noodle bar on a whim, thinking it would suit all of our cravings. I ordered the Dan Dan noodle bowl, with thick noodles, and added shrimp. It by FARexceeded my expectations. 10/10 experience. I know this bowl is not ramen, however I was really craving a ?noodle soup? and omgthe flavor builds, and is insanely delicious. The second photo is of fried squid appetizer, which was also delicious but did notcompare to the Dan Dan noodles ???????? I will be back in Asheville specifically for these noodles.
My family has loved coming here for years. The staff are friendly. Seating is nearly immediate. People watchers will love the outside seating. All four of us love and recommend the Spicy Korean Noodle Bowl with the Mung bean noodles. We've never had abad meal here.
