The cilantro avocado sauce was excellent, while the teriyaki and BBQ sauces were both quite good. The mixed veggies were slightly undercooked, but the sweet potatoes were just right. The balance of protein to vegetables was ideal, making the meal both tasty and healthy.
When my daughter first introduced me to Energy Fuel, I was excited to find a place where I could create my own bowl, just like I do at home. For the first two visits, the food was fantastic. However, my last two experiences have been extremely disappointing. Today, I ordered a Salmon Bowl, as I don't eat meat, but the salmon was overcooked and tough. The broccoli was actually burnt, which really surprised me! Additionally, the basmati rice was hard, and the only thing done right was the sweet potatoes. To top it off, the food was cold. I took a couple of bites and ended up discarding the meal. This was even worse than my last visit. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I can't afford to waste money on a meal like this again. Energy Fuel, you need to step up your game!
Salmon was just ok but the rice, cauliflower and Brussels were not good.
The Thin Crust Pizza (133) hit the spot the chicken and red onions were definitely a solid combination; I didn't think I'd run into a low carb, healthy alternative to pizza on here; this will definitely be one of my go tos moving forward. In addition, the lentil soup was the perfect companion, nice and savory (coupled with carrots, celery, and some potato). Although this is by first order with this place; I see myself coming back for some more healthy eats in the near future
